All about Dobbé

The Dobbé range includes seven beautiful expressions of Cognac, all distilled and aged on the family estate in Salignac-sur-Charenteb.

Their signature Cognac 10-year-old Petite Champagne is made from Ugni Blanc grapes coming solely from the Petite Champagne cru and is aged for at least 10 years in traditional Limousin oak casks.

This elegant expression is exceptionally long and well-rounded on the palate while boasting a higher-than-average alcohol content of 43% ABV. Truly an expression that bears all the right attributes that make Cognac worthy of its cigar.

All about Dobbé distillery

Dobbé distillery is located in Salignac-sur-Charente, a small village near Cognac, France. The House of Dobbé is known for its strong values guided by generations who love the land. It was established around 1787 when the family’s ancestors acquired a few acres of vines.

Their passion for Wine grew with time, and so did their Cognac producing skills. The distillery is still a family-owned operation and the tradition has been kept intact for 8 generations.

Today, the eight generation has managed to combine tradition and modernity whilst continuing to produce their signature and prestigious Dobbé Cognacs.

The family manages every step of the Cognac production process from tending to their land and grape, right down to the marketing of the final product.

Their estate extends mainly over the Petite Champagne area, one of the largest and most distinguished crus, known for chalky soil, which is much more compact than the one from the Grande area, resulting in Cognac that is not too floral and slightly less subtle.

Funny how this area is called Petite, when in fact, it spans over more acres than the Grande Champagne.

The family's vineyards cover 35 hectares of the estate, two-thirds of which are located on the sunny hills of Petite Champagne cru, the remaining in the Fins Bois cru, on the banks of the Charente river.

The majority of their vineyards are planted with Ugni Blanc grapes, which produces fruity and delicate Cognacs.
