Glentauchers Whisky is not often seen as a single malt in the market. It is generally used in the blends especially Ballentine's and Teacher's. The only official bottling was a 15 year old.

All about Glentauchers distillery

The Glentauchers Distillery is located at just a few miles from Keith, on the road to Craigellachie, in Speyside.

The distillery was founded by James Buchanan and W.P. Lowrie, blenders in 1898. Buchanan did not know how to distill or blend the Whisky, however by 1908, he became very successful with Buchanan Blends.

In 1910, Distillers Company Limited acquired Buchanan and Dewars. A modernization movement occured in the distillery between 1923 and 1925. Until 1966, the distillery was upgraded regularly, with stills and electricity installments.

In 1989, Allied Domecq bought the distillery, and production has continued under the name of Pernod Ricard since 2005.
