All about West Cork distillery

Childhood friends John, Ger and Denis began operating West Cork Distillery in a room at the back of Denis’ house in Unionhall, Co. Cork. From two small stills, bought off a schnapps producer in Switzerland, to their own distillery in Skibbereen, the business has continued to flourish since its inception in 2003.

They remain at the helm and their creativity and determination continues to drive Irish Whiskey into a new era. A stronghold team of 140 supports their mission at West Cork Distillers on Marsh Road.

Everyday, four truckloads of spring barley arrive at our distillery from local farms in Cork.

Through commitment, perseverance and long-standing relationships with the local community, West Cork Whiskey now has distributors across the globe and their award winning whiskey is sold in almost 70 countries.
