West Cork Whiskey , située à Skibbereen, dans le comté de Cork, a été fondée en 2003 par des amis d'enfance, John, Ger et Denis . D'une simple installation dans leur jardin avec deux petits alambics , ils sont devenus une distillerie prospère. Grâce à des techniques uniques comme la chromatographie en phase gazeuse et l'osmose inverse , ils produisent un whisky primé, vendu dans près de 70 pays. Engagés auprès des producteurs locaux et par l'innovation, ils révolutionnent le whisky irlandais.
Le whisky West Cork 5 ans d'âge Pot Still incarne l'innovation. Élaboré à partir d'un moût d'orge malté à 66 % et non malté à 33 %, il est distillé dans le Rocket Still, l'alambic le plus rapide au monde . Vieilli cinq ans en fûts de bourbon de premier remplissage et mis en bouteille à 43 %, ce whisky offre des notes de vanille , de chêne et d'épices chaudes .
