One of the very first Bottled In Bond American Single Malts in the U.S.
When a Scotsman moves to the United States, only one thing can happen. The Scotsman starts making a peated American Whiskey. At least this was the case of Alastair Brogan who moved to the States to pursue his dream of making fine Whiskey. Barley, yeast, water, oak, and the pursuit of happiness, he says. Founding a small Colorado Whiskey company, the Boulder Spirits guys have big dreams, even bigger goals, and the biggest pot still in the Cowboy State. Their range includes American Single Malt Whiskeys, Bourbons, and Gins, all made in their unique way that brings new flavors to old traditions.
Boulder Spirits Bottled In Bond American Single Malt Whiskey is one of the very first Bottled In Bond American Single Malts in the U.S., which means it must be made at one single distillery, rest for at least 4 years in wood, and then be bottled at 50% ABV. Plus, there must be no added coloring. This sipper ticks all the boxes. Crafted from imported malt from the UK, it’s aged in freshly charred American white oak for 4 years in the arid Colorado climate. This is a rich and full-bodied Whiskey that will delight you with luscious flavors of dark molasses, toasted bread, faint fig, and raspberry. At least it delighted the judges at the San Francisco Spirits Challenge where they awarded it Double Gold.
