Ah, Kentucky. It’s the birthplace of one of the greatest distilling traditions in the world and the lads at Bowsaw Whiskey are on a mission to do right by it. Making a truly authentic American Whiskey, they respect the coopers craft – so much so, they even dedicated their name to it. Every glass bottle they make is screen printed by hand, making it unique. Distilled and aged in northern Kentucky, The Bowsaw Extra American Small Batch Straight Corn begins with a very ambitious mash bill of 91% corn, 5% barley and 4% rye. It spends between 4-5 years in refill American oak barrels, resulting in a sweet robust flavor. Those rich corn sugars are complemented by hints of rye spice and mellow barley, making this concoction dangerously drinkable. Bottled at a proper 86 proof, it will hold its ground even in mixed drinks.
