Bushmills meets Kelvin Cooperage.

Bushmills is one of the most popular and enduring Irish Whiskeys. Hugh Anderson registered the company in 1784 in the town of Bushmills and, after a few fits and starts, they have been in continuous operation and growing since 1885. Jose Cuervo purchased the Old Bushmills Distillery from Diageo in 2014, but the suits know to stay out of the way of Irishman crafting their Whiskey. Bushmills currently has six Whiskeys in their core line-up in addition to special editions and releases.

Bushmills American Oak Bourbon Finish was inspired by a long-term relationship between the Bushmills Distillery and the legendary barrel-makers Kelvin Cooperage from Louisville, Kentucky. This remarkable sipper was crafted with the same Single Malt that’s in Bushmills Original but that’s then finished in double-charred American Oak and blended with their signature triple-distilled Irish grain Whiskey. The result? Nothing short of absolutely delicious. It manages to be rich yet mellow and the double-charred barrels leave behind the perfect balance of sweet notes of crème brûlée, toffee apple, and vanilla. Neat, on the rocks, with a drop of water, or in a high-end cocktail. You do you.
