Chopin Potato Vodka is universally acclaimed as the quality foundation upon which the luxurious Chopin brand sits.
Frédéric Chopin was a famous composer from the first half of the 1800s and a favored son of Poland. Chopin Vodka is a Polish Spirit named after the great music master. Chopin Vodka was founded by Tad Dorda in 1992. He is also the majority owner of the Polmos Siedlce Distillery where this signature Spirit is produced. The Chopin line of Vodkas are highly respected and have been called "The Most Luxurious Vodkas in the World."
Chopin Vodka has three core varieties — potato, rye, and wheat. Importantly, each is made exclusively from the ingredient listed on the label, sourced locally. Even though such designations are not used in Vodkas, it makes the line the equivalent of a single grain — or single potato — Spirit. Chopin Potato Vodka was the first released in the line and is still the most awarded by far. Like its sister Spirits, each batch is distilled four times, delivering a rich, luxurious mouth-feel and creamy finish. It is said that five kilos of potatoes to create each finished bottle.
Smartass Corner:
After World War II, the Spirits company Podlaska Wytwórnia Wódek was consolidated and taken over by the Communist government under the "Polmos" brand. After the fall of Communism in Europe, each distillery was privatized into sixteen independent companies identified by their location.
