But what’s most important in the Spiritual scheme of things, is that 1989 was the year when a certain painstakingly bodacious dram dripped from the Bunnahabhain stills—a deliciously rare 26 YO now courtesy of the Deer, Bear and Moose gang.

Bunnahabhain (buːnəˈhævən) lies on the gentler side of the Islay flavor chart. A true breath of fresh airwhen put side to side with its heavily peated Islay brothers. The natural spring water source and the sea-facing warehouse guarantee an authentic, crisp, natural dram, without losing any of the intensity or character only the upper echelon Whiskies possess. Color / Appearance

Pale amber gold.

Smell / Nose / Aroma

Almost medicinal at first whiff, but becomes really seaweedy, maritime-like. Some wood and sweetness also present.

Taste / Palate

Sweetness evolves and comes out as toffee or custard like sensation, becomes one with an oaky bitterness. Some dried fruity notes are also there.

Finish
The peat and its smokiness come alive in the final stage of your sip. Long and breathtaking aftermath.
