Deer, Bear & Moose’s Jura-stick adventure #29.

Scotland's remote Jura Island, an isolated Jurassic Whisky Park of sorts, is home to a 2011 Single Malt gem discovered by our taste explorers, the Deer, Bear & Moose trio. This Whisky, now DBM #29, encapsulates the wild spirit of Jura spliced with the refined artistry of Scottish Whisky-engineering.

DBM #29, extracted from two Jura hogsheads, is an 11-year-old prehistoric creature that matured to perfection in a Bourbon cask. It presents a sun-drenched straw color and a symphony of marzipan, almonds, bitter chocolate, honey, and citrus aromas. The palate is an oily, slightly astringent journey with robust oaky notes and candied fruit.

This sensory expedition surpasses man's mastery over nature, proving that nature always finds a way to astonish us! Deer, Bear & Moose Isle of Jura 2011 Single Malt Scotch Whisky – a rare find for discerning Whisky enthusiasts.

Maybe just the neck pour, but ...

Maybe just the neck pour, but I let it sit for 30 min... bitter taste. The tasting notes do say astringent and bitter chocolate. Not sure I got any chocolate, but certainly astringent and bitter.

I hope it gets better after I leave it in the cabinet for a couple of months.
