Do vanilla the Italian way.
Galliano, Spirito Italiano. How did this iconic Spirit come to be? It all started with a terribly charismatic Italian national war hero. That’s where this luminously gold Liqueur got its name from. Arturo Vaccari created it in 1888 in Torino and it’s still made there today at Marasci Quirici. The recipe could be mistaken for a medieval elixir with all the herbs, plants, roots, spices, and flower seeds that go into it. And all the herbs still come from the area today. Galliano rose to fame during the great Gold Rush when thousands of Italians fled to California and Galliano was right there to remind them of their homeland. Even the tall, slender bottle was inspired by the columns of Rome. The Italian Spirit par excellence.
Distilled in traditional small copper pot stills, Galliano Vanilla is based on their L’Autentico offering, which revolves around Mediterranean anise, cardamom lavender, peppermint, and cinnamon. Then, there’s a tasty twist: a fragrant vanilla distillate of the highest quality is added. We love the round aromas that lead into the classic sweet vanilla flavors, clocking in at 30% ABV. And the best part: you can literally mix it with anything from coffee, cream, vodka, coconut milk, lemon juice, ginger ale, soda, and the list goes on.
