Back in the late 1700’s Ireland, there was one powerful distilling family in two branches — the Haigs and the Steins. John Jameson was originally from Scotland, but married into the Haig family and moved to Dublin 1777 where he was put in charge of the new Bow Street Distillery. After working hard for years, he eventually acquired the entire operation in 1810 and the Jameson & Son Distillery Company was born. Since then Jameson has become the most recognizable and best-selling Irish Whiskey in the world delivering over 56 million bottles of golden Irish nectar each year.
 
It's no secret that Whiskey and coffee play off each other quite nicely (looking at you, Irish coffee!). And cold brew coffee, although present in Japan for hundreds of years, has been going through a proper renaissance lately. A quick reminder for the uninitiated: Cold brew is coffee that has been slowly seeped in room-temperature water over a period of 12-24 hours. The bright forward-thinking lads at Jameson had the bold idea of fusing the two together and the end result is Jameson Cold Brew, a coffee-infused Whiskey. It's more than just flavoring, though, as each shot contains a hefty 17mg dose of caffeine, approximately half of what you'd down in a regular cup of espresso. They are calling it "a perfectly balanced combination of our smooth Irish Whiskey with hints of toasted oak, dark chocolate and a rich coffee aroma." No added sugar and proper Arabica beans from Brazil and Colombia as well, mind you. Now there's a breakfast of champions if there ever was one.
