Lagavulin 1980 Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish Distillers Edition

Lagavulin doesn’t need an introduction as their 16YO probably reigns in every respectable home bar. But this one is something else. The Distillers Edition was distilled by Master Distiller M. Nicolson in 1980 and bottled right before the Y2K.

The untameable Whisky is dry and complex with strong notes of sea-spray that’s matched by the sweetness of sun-dried grapes coming from Pedro Ximenez Sherry Wood. It’s a classic Lagavulin with extra depth and subtleness.
