As we glide into the lush, green heart of Minas Gerais, you arrive in one of Brazil’s most storied distilling regions—home to Lamas Destilaria, a family-run craft distillery known for blending tradition with innovation.
Your sample, Rarus Single Malt, is a testament to that philosophy. The whisky ages first in American oak ex-bourbon casks before finishing in the distillery’s own ex-Apraz Rum barrels, adding tropical sweetness and layered complexity. Unfiltered and naturally colored, Rarus offers aromas of florals, toasted nuts, cocoa, and smooth, rounded malt.
