Macleod's Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Ian MacLeod & Company LTD was founded in 1933 as a Scottish Whisky broker — buying, selling, trading production lots from the major distilleries around Scotland. Over the years the company has grown quite a bit, including more than three dozen house brands and an untold number of private label offerings. Now owned by the Russell family, they run the gamut from Whiskies to Vodkas to Rums, but their core business is still Scotch Whisky.

Macleods Speyside Single Malt hails from Speyside, the home to ancient clans and more than half of Scottish distilleries. The exact distillery of this fantastic bottling remains a secret but we’ll tell you what we do know. The nose is one of the more intriguing ones we’ve ever seen with lots of fruit, a touch of Sherry, raisins, walnut, and malt. So complex! The palate continues with the Sherry vibes, oranges, chocolate, salted caramel, and a hint of oak. This is a brilliant example of a light Speysider with a ton of character.
