A liquid thrill ride!

It wasn't purely entrepreneurial nor (just) the Whisky fever that brought together David Thomson and Teresa Church ― the first a Scottish expat who was searching for a connection with his homeland, the second super-passionate about restoring old buildings. What brought them together was entirely irrational, a "love at first sight" that took them over when seeing the historic Annandale buildings back in 2006. They couldn't quite wrap their minds around the reasons behind the distillery lying dormant for nearly a century. And neither would they let its position in Southern Scotland define their Whisky. Yes, it's the Lowlands, but hey ― why limit yourself to the light, mellow, and fruity style that the local barley supposedly imparts when transportation is such a non-issue in modern times?

The distillery now pours its love into 6 different brands: the 1st-tier Annandale Distillery, Man O' Sword & Man O' Words prestigious Single Malts, Vintage and Founders Selection, Rascally Liquor clear malt Spirit, and Nation of Scots blended Whisky.

Jim Murray, the esteemed Whisky guru, couldn't help but shower Annandale's 2015 release of Man O'Sword (Cask 2015/470) with his highest praises in the prestigious 2020 Whisky Bible. With an astounding 96.5 points, it claimed the throne as the champion among single cask single malts aged 10 years and below. Regrettably, Cask 2015/470 has vanished into the hands of a fortunate few, but we may just have something even better in store.

Annandale unveiled Cask 2015/471, crafted with the same expertise and meticulous attention to detail as its predecessor. Distilled in 2015 and pampered in a single ex-Bourbon cask. Here's a little secret just for you – it spent an extra 13 months in the cask, rendering it equally, if not more extraordinary! Prepare for lingering hints of smoky caramel, a delightful blend of tropical fruits like melon and mango, and a fresh Granny Smith apple essence, all gently interwoven with the presence of oak shavings.
