Abel Planat founded the brand in Cognac, France, back in 1828. He was the city’s mayor and he developed the town’s first public drinking water system. His son, Oscar Planat, followed in his father’s footsteps and took over the company. He also became the mayor of Cognac at some point. Impressive lineage, right. Today, Planat the brand offers a range of Cognac that are most adored by revered mixologists.
Planat Overproof is the first Overproof Cognac to be created. It was made in collaboration with Adam Caron, a bartender and manager of “Les Marquises bar and restaurant” in Bordeaux. Created with mixology in mind, this blend clocks in at cask strength of 65%. Greeting with intense aromas and a bold yet elegant palate, this unique Cognac will hold its ground in your wildest cocktail creation.
