Sauza 901 Tequila

Justin Timberlake’s 901 from Sauza is a true-to-form expression of a classic blanco Tequila.   
 
Sauza 901 Tequila is the brainchild of Justin Timberlake who—obviously in need of additional success and fame—founded the 901 Tequila brand in 2009. It was such a success—commercially and on social media—that Sauza purchased the brand in 2014. And we all know that the Sauza Tequila Company is older than Timberlake’s granddad, right? In fact, Sauza has been making a broad range of Tequilas since 1873, covering nearly every price point and target market. Sauza brands include Sauza, Hornitos, and Tres Generaciones—and the entire lot of them is a constellation of stars in the Beam Suntory universe of spirits. 

Justin Timberlake loves him some Tequila. Or, perhaps was simply trying to get in-sync with his entrepreneurial side … who knows? But there is no need to cry him a river, since his 901 Tequila has been rock’in the clubs and music scene since it’s launch. It is 100% agave, triple-distilled for purity and clarity, and served up nicely at 40% ABV. 
 
This is definitely a blanco Tequila that retains its traditional production methods and aromas. It will be a great, unique addition to your next margarita and might make you say “Bye Bye Bye” to those lesser Mecals and blends. But Justin Timberlake himself—we get to call him “JT”— says his favorite cocktail is the Sauza 901 Club: 1 part 901 Tequila, 2 parts iced tea, 2 parts lemonade, and a dash of agave nectar. It’s like a “Jack Nicklaus” for grown-ups.
