Welcome to Central Otago, one of the world’s most dramatic whisky landscapes—where jagged mountains rise above crystal lakes and temperature swings shape whisky with remarkable character. Between Lake Dunstan and the Bendigo mountain range stands Scapegrace Distillery, a pioneer of New Zealand’s next generation of whisky.
Your sample, Scapegrace Anthem, captures the region’s rugged beauty and expressive climate. Matured under the extreme temperature shifts of the 45th Parallel and finished in Virgin French Oak, it delivers rich layers of dried fruit, warm spice, toasted grains, and subtle alpine botanicals.
The whisky is gently smoked using native manuka wood, adding a uniquely New Zealand signature. Cut with glacial water from the Southern Alps, Anthem is both bold and elegant—an award-winning reflection of the land it comes from.
As the distillery puts it:
