Pireas is a port city within the Athens administration area. It’s the perfect place to be if you are Concepts Trade and Marketing. They specialize in distributing Spirits in Greece — including some of the most famous brands of Whiskey, Gin, Beer, Rum, Aperitifs, and regional favorites. They also own three brands of very special Greek Spirits that they export around the world.
There are literally thousands of island in Aegean Sea of the eastern Mediterranean. On island of Chios — just offshore from Turkey — grows a rare tree prized for the mastic resins that weep from the bark.
Skinos Mastiha Spirit is a clear Liqueur made by infusing the mastic resins into a Spirit base and sweetening with natural sugars. The flavor profile exists in between a Vermouth and a Gin with bitter-sweet notes of scrub-pine and herbaceous wormwood. It pairs well with savory meats when served chilled and can be sipped as an accompaniment to dessert. All other comparisons fail, it must be experienced.
