Stagg Jr. Barrel Proof Bourbon (Batch 9)

Did you know that Buffalo Trace Distillery is considered the oldest continually operating distillery in the US? It has been operating since 1812 but there was a time when it almost went bankrupt and this is when a certain George T. Stagg stepped in to run it for about 20 years. At the beginning of the 20th century, the distillery was even named after the guy. A century later, the famous George T. Stagg was added to their Antique Collection.

Launched in 2013, Stagg Jr. expressions were the line’s first extension. The barrel-proof batches are released twice a year and these premium Bourbons are extremely sought-after. Launched in 2017, Stagg Jr. Barrel Proof Bourbon (Batch 9) was aged for nearly a decade. Uncut and unfiltered, this bold and robust Bourbon is rich, sweet, and packed with flavors of chocolate, brown sugar, and spices. Bottled at 65.95% ABV, it might just be our favorite of the collection.
