Togouchi's warehouse is located in the heart of the mountainous region of Nishi Chugoku Sanchi. This warehouse is a tunnel 361 meters long, that was drilled in 1970, by the JR Japanese railway company.

Chugoku Jozo is a Wine and Sake brand that was established in 1918. In 1990 they decided to import Canadian grain and Scotch malt Whiskies to blend and mature in Japan, as a Japanese blend. There is no production, but master blenders from Chugoku Jozo blend the Whiskies. 

Togouichi is not a distillery nor just a blend. They have a NAS blended Whisky, as well as 8,12, and 18-year-old expressions. It has a malty and citrusy grain with peat notes.
