In the northern part of Austria in the region Waldviertel lies the Weidenauer family estate. Surrounded by forests, fields of various grains and different fruits, it’s no wonder that generations and generations have been trying to get the finest from their soil.

The Weidenauer family estate was first mentioned in 1838 and throughout their existence only the finest Brandies were produced, and for personal consumption only. Thankfully Oswald Weidenauer wanted to show their craftsmanship and heritage to other people too and continued to make Brandy like his forefathers did. But not just that, he started producing one of the first Whiskies in Austria, made from different grains - one of them being oat.

That is why we brought you Weidenauer Hafermalz Whisky. It is made from toasted oat and aged for at least three years in oak that originates from America or from Austria, for that special earthy flavour. With the knowledge of his forefathers and in symbiosis with nature this Austrian Whisky is a true gem.
