The WhiskySponge 27-Year-Old 1992 (Edition No. 17) is a mysterious Islay single malt, bottled by Decadent Drinks in 2020. This 27-year-old gem is a testament to the art of aging, with its subtle medicinal peat and coastal brine on the nose. The palate is a creamy dance of smoked malt, sweet lemons, and savory bacon, while the finish lingers with maritime smoke and dark chocolate. With its satirical label, it's a dram that tickles both the taste buds and the funny bone.
Golden amber
Subtle, medicinal peat, coastal brine, wet seashells, menthol herbs, and delicate carbon notes mixed with soft yellow fruits like pear and banana.
Highly oily and creamy. It features a sweet-and-salty balance of smoked malt, sweet lemons, black pepper, and hints of savory bacon and honey.
Very long, warm, and coastal, leaving behind a trace of lingering maritime smoke, zesty citrus, and dry dark chocolate.
