Gin with a Grappa twist

In 1946 Gottfried Roner set up a tiny still in his family home in Italy to make Grappa. Then he experimented with Juniper and Blueberry Liqueurs and started sharing them with family and friends. Eighty years later, the family is still making Grappa and Liqueurs at Roner Spirits, but have added a range of Gins, Vodkas, and other spirits to the line up.

The Raritas line of spirits from Roner includes their fruit Liqueurs and Gins. Raritas Juniper was added in 2015 in cooperation with other regional Gin distillers. This is NOT a grain Gin — the base spirit is made from local Italian grapes. That means lighter, smoother, and warmth without pepper heat. You also need to know that this is barrel aged for 3 months. So that light gold hue comes naturally to the spirit and adds gentle vanilla notes.
